About the artist

Neon Mystic is a British graphic artist based in New Zealand. He cut his teeth in the print industry but made the leap into freelance illustration in the 2010s, carving out a niche working closely with Metal bands designing merch and gig posters, which played a significant role driving forward the themes he is most known for. He uses many digital tools to enhance his practice but tends to focus on traditional pen and paper methods as a base for all his creations. His aesthetic has a particular timeless feel which is inspired by etchers, engravers and printers makers of the past. He is most commonly found exploring intangible themes of spirituality and psychedelia, lending from religious and cultural symbology to express his unique brand of illustration.
